Fistral Beach
Fistral Beach is the best known of Newquay’s beaches and the most famous surfing spot in the UK. Fistral, at almost a mile long, is a large expanse of sand, backed by the dunes and golf course, and is popular with more experienced surfers, with a lifeguard service operating during summer months. Fistral Blu, the large development on the edge of the sand offers good facilities. The tide goes out a long way at Fistral exposing a lot of sand for playing on and at each end of the beach are rocks providing good pools for hunting sea creatures at low tide. Located to the west of the town, Fistral is about a 10 minute walk from the centre.
Facilities: Lifeguards (in season), Car Park, Toilets, Showers, Cafes, Shop, Surf School.
